AGM Results

Well after the last meeting we are

At a new juncture of the mini club.

Congratulations to Chris for being officially elected to the the position of club secretary/treasurer.

Also elected to a dizzy position of responsibility is Sean who is now the membership secretary.

Essentially all other things are up to the responsibility of the individual, to prepare, organise and possibly execute the plan they have concocted.

Events to be planned, in addition to the shows, may be a fox and hounds in a limited area. Essential items are a phone and a car.

There maybe a treasure hunt in place later in the year, depends how I feel and if I can get some volunteers. There will be a B-B-Q somewhere, I will try to arrange one at the Fox and Hounds Pub at Lydford, there is a largish car park, a massive field and of course it is a pub! if someone has a better idea as to where please let us know and things can be arranged.

Runs out to other pubs (names in a hat - please research the pub first, ensure it has a big enough parking area, and they will be willing to have numerous minis race up outside.

Other things that were successful in the past is the Sunday lunch pub run, and the idea to resurrect that was suggested.

On a final note, the lottery bonus ball could be run, with the idea of some money going to charity, £5 a week was suggested.

For all concerned - don't stop coming up with the good ideas, keep them coming, and don't be afraid to put them forward. Sometimes some of the best ideas come from a silly suggestion... so GO FOR IT!

Bristol Mini Day

Your support needed

For all those member who have access to the www.classicmini.co.uk site, you may well have come across an article about a young lad who has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on or around the kidneys (enough of that).

It is the intention of the members of this site to have a convoy of minis drive by of this young lads house as he lives just down the road from the Bath footy ground or wherever it is, apparently it is not more than 3 minutes away.

The boy, Peter, is an ardent fan of minis and he would be thrilled to see so many minis drive by him, and I am sure it would give him a huge lift after the chemotherapy he is has had! Come on peeps lets give the lad a lift!

Mini Show reports required

I need anyone who is going to any shows/mini runs  to submit me reports and or whatever they need to do.

The more reports the better, views pictures anything would be ideal

Ivor is Building a new car

Ivor has agreed to give us a monthly run down on the status of his rebuild, so within the annals of this publication, we are going to see a mini reborn... Personally I wish him luck and I look forward to the reports appearing on here
